Sasaki Kojiro (?-1612)He is one of the prominent swordsman and he is most famous for the his death in battle with Miyamoto Musashi at Ganryu island (Former name for Funa-jima). His specialty swordplay is called 'Swallow's tail strike' (Tsubame Gaeshi) mimicking the motion of a swallow's tail during flight, a cut reputedly so quick, so deadly and so accurate it could strike down a bird in mid flight.
